Sense of Self

“May not have a strong sense of identity and can be very chameleon-like, especially before diagnosis.” I used to pride myself on this trait. I could be anybody and pretend (sometimes until I believed the lie) that I liked anything a friend liked. I told myself that it was good that I could fit in anywhere, but the truth was that I couldn’t fit in with any group. That was why I constantly tried to change myself; I wanted to be accepted by someone.
