Recovering from Burnout

Even our special interests and passions cannot pull us out of extreme burnout. For me, when the burnout has hit hard and even the thought of changing into nightclothes is exhausting, I know I have to summon my last energy just to get into bed with no phone, no books, nothing. Even if it’s three hours earlier than normal, my brain (and often my body) just need to rest. The sooner I accept that and set limits for myself, the sooner I can recover.
