A Weighty Schedule

We autistic people blossom under schedules and routines. Still, have you ever felt like you were wilting beneath a looming responsibility that you had scheduled for later in the day? Planning is hard for autistic people, and so is task initiation, so just the mere thought of that later engagement can give me anxiety! Whenever this happens, I do my best to start that planned activity early (whenever possible). Whether it’s grocery shopping, working from home, or meeting with a friend for coffee, a simple rearrangement can bring brightness back to your day.
