I’ve done this once before. Instead of forcing myself into a masking state and starting my year trying to keep it together, I simply made arrangements to take a quiet vacation. This doesn’t have to be anything flashy. A forest cabin, a hotel in a distant suburb, an AirBnB in a small town. Take a loved one or just go alone. Think of it as a taking a holiday for yourself!
